In 2020, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital teamed up with the East of England Ambulance service and Saarland University in Germany to run a 6 week trial of a mobile stroke unit. This mobile unit, staffed by a consultant neurologist and paramedic, aims to reduce the time between suspecting a stroke and administering life-saving treatments. This concept, first trialled in Germany in 2008, has been very successful and there are now more than 20 active Mobile Stroke Units worldwide.
Come and join us as Professor Silke Walter and paramedic Daniel Phillips discuss their work on the Mobile Stroke Unit, how it works, and the impact it has had in Norfolk.
Certificates will be provided for those that attend this event.
Tickets can be purchased here, the event is free for members and £1 for non-members.
